What is the difference between automotive wiring and household wiring?

The main differences between automotive wires and household wires are reflected in the following aspects:

Design and use: Automotive wires are usually designed to be thinner and have thinner insulation layers, and are mainly used to transmit current to various electrical devices inside the car. In contrast, household wires are designed to be more standard and are mainly used for power transmission in household circuits.
Material and construction: Automotive wires are mostly made of multi-strand twisted copper wires and use insulation layers made of specific materials such as PVC to meet the special environmental requirements of automobiles, such as temperature resistance, oil resistance, wear resistance, waterproofness, and corrosion resistance. Household wires may use single-core copper wires with more standard insulation materials. 
Safety and environmental adaptability: Wires inside the car require higher safety standards and environmental adaptability, such as flame retardancy and electromagnetic compatibility. Household wires have relatively lower requirements in these aspects. 
Technology and standards: The production and testing standards of automotive wires are usually more stringent and need to meet specific specifications of the automotive industry, while household wires follow general electrical safety standards.
